Delivering profit and pride to Piccadilly

Piccadilly Partnership, part of CityCo, works with members and city centre stakeholders to improve and enhance the Piccadilly area of the city. It is a membership network drawn from a range of business sectors including hospitality, finance, property, legal, transport, retail, leisure and tourism.

We programme an engaging range of public events, bring members together to network and drive pioneering strategic initiatives that support the area as a thriving destination.

We work to ensure that Piccadilly remains a vibrant and exciting place to live, work and do business.

2012 Review / 2013 Preview

Once a city gateway, Piccadilly is now a destination. Collaboration between the public and private sector has led to public realm and security improvements, renewal and development, innovation and creativity – but most importantly, close strategic partnerships.

This has informed Piccadilly Partnership’s ambitious programme of business development, public events and new partnerships throughout 2012.

  • Facilitating combined employment opportunities in excess of 150 jobs; supporting new business developments with TechHub, at Urban Exchange and around Piccadilly Gardens.
  • The 2012 Canal Festival bringing Atelier [zero], LomoWall Manchester, Float-In Movies, an urban canal photography course and floating garden to Piccadilly Basin.
  • The Piccadilly Christmas Funfair, The Manchester Picnic, We Face Forward Closing Party, PiccFit and Ancient Worlds Mummy Walk collectively enlivening Piccadilly Gardens.
  • Chairing working groups to improve environmental, operating and security conditions for local businesses in Piccadilly; including around the Basin and Parker Street.
  • Offering a series of high level networking opportunities for members, at Piccadilly and CityCo programmed events.

The year ahead will see Piccadilly Partnership build on exisiting relationships, and make new ones, to continue to deliver initiatives that raise the ambition for the area.

The Partnership will work on behalf of members to support and enhance business; expand family-friendly public events in Piccadilly and ensure businesses can influence the city agenda and make valuable connections.
