Business Briefings & Urban Resilience Training

CityCo and Manchester BID deliver a whole range of business briefings, networking sessions and workshops.

All aim to keep colleagues in the loop, and trained, with strategic and tactical city guidance and future planning.

We run a number of regular sessions for members and levy payers.

Monthly City Centre Performance Briefing

We invite CityCo members and BID levy payers to hear more about the trends that are shaping our city.

The briefing is a monthly call with CityCo and Manchester BID Chief Exec Vaughan Allen and Manchester BID Manager Phil Schulze – plus invited guests.

Areas covered include: city centre footfall and current sales trends, retail, hospitality, night-time economy and transport updates. And insights around visitor and customer demographics.

ACT Awareness (Action Counters Terrorism) Training

ACT (Action-Counters-Terrorism) Awareness training is part of Manchester’s commitment to the principles of ‘Martyn’s Law’ post the devastating 2017 Manchester Arena attack.

The training is delivered by NaCTSO & CPNI-trained Counter Terrorism Security Advisors and is designed to raise vigilance of the current terrorist threat to the UK and provide businesses with protective advice and guidance.

The aim is to provide an understanding of how to deny, detect and deter hostile activity and how to protect people and organisations during a major incident.
