Business Services

Helping our Networks Do Better Business

As a member of CityCo we offer a range of Business Services. We are here to help our networks do better business in Manchester city centre.

Operational Support

CityCo and Manchester Business Improvement District (Manchester BID) bring the right people together, helping our membership networks find solutions to day-to-day and longer-term urban challenges.

We help with a range of operational issues and ensure organisations can maximise the many opportunities of working in Manchester city centre.

Areas we regularly assist with include local environmental issues around premises or business locations, street cleansing including jet washing, bins and commercial waste, litter and graffiti removal, street bollards, anti-social behaviour, begging, rough-sleeping, parking, the impact of major events, development works and street protests, and road closures.

Business Crime Reduction Partnership

CityCo manages the Manchester Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP) to report and help tackle business-related crime. We support the work of Greater Manchester Police, City Council Licensing and Anti-Social Behaviour teams. The partnership manages a city wide ‘Civil Exclusion Scheme’ that records incidents, identifies criminal persons and then issues exclusion notices.

BCRP members have access to StoreNet/NiteNet radios connected to city centre CCTV and are provided with real-time, secure offender intelligence online.

We also deliver venue security training around Crime Prevention, Conflict Avoidance, Fraud Prevention, Counterfeit Currency, and Making Statements and Reporting.

The team has achieved annual ‘Accreditation with Distinction’ by the National Association of Business Crime Partnerships and received a Divisional Commanders Award from Greater Manchester Police. Data Privacy Terms
