Manchester’s city-wide Halloween party. Featuring: MCR Monsters, pumpkin lanterns, themed street zones, DJs, spooky parades, the Monster Music Festival and tonnes of family fun.
Now in its seventh year, event attracts tens of thousands of additional visitors to the city centre.
Halloween in the City is an event by Manchester Business Improvement District.
The promotional campaign is delivered by Manchester BID/CityCo. We work with Echo PR, Modern Designers, Marketing Manchester, Manchester City Council and Transport for Greater Manchester on the media campaign.
2023 Event: 28-29 October
Festival Zone: Exchange Square, New Cathedral Street, St Ann’s Square and King Street

2022 Headlines
- The city centre welcomed close to quarter of a million visitors over annual Halloween in the City weekend
- Footfall up by 30,000 compared to previous weekend and +5% increase on 2021 Halloween weekend
- Sunday trading given an extra boost with additional 17,000 visitors YoY as families flocked to enjoy free family-friendly event
