City Forums & Lobbying CityCo and Manchester BID represent our business networks at a range of city meetings and forums. As constant corporate champions, we have an influential role in lobbying local authorities authorities, transport organisations and...
Manchester’s Retail Business Improvement District aims to support city centre vibrancy and economic success by bringing retailers and restaurants together with each other, and Manchester’s public agencies, to enhance operations and attract additional custom.
The BID is managed by The City Centre Management Company, CityCo. We work in partnership and daily liaison with Manchester City Council, Transport for Greater Manchester, Greater Manchester Police, Marketing Manchester, Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Manchester’s homelessness charity network Street Support, and other statutory bodies.
As a membership organisation, the team represents BID interests and ensures levy payers are part of the evolving story of the city as a thriving and resilient place to invest, work, visit and live.
We help businesses to have their opinion heard, expand activities and connect with the right people at the right time. Our management by CityCo allows for the sharing of city plans, discussion and action-planning around developments, business challenges and opportunities. Whether via sharing information, street or security assistance, events or promotions, we are here to help the city work for you.
Partnerships are key to Manchester BID’s success. Alongside our many associations, the BID is a founding member of the national and regional BID Foundation and Northern BIDs Group. The BID is also a member of British BIDs and works with the Association of Town Centre Management.
