2018 BID Shadow Board Process

We have completed a ‘Next BID’ Shadow Board process which has taken place from February to June, over five round-table forums attended by BID members.

We began by circulating a consultation document to all BID levy payers to ask about support for the current Manchester BID and priorities going forward. Monthly meetings then determined the remit of a 2018-2023 Business Plan. The forums debated how future projects could benefit businesses and lead to more footfall and more of a say in our city’s future.

The final meeting took place on Thursday 15th June 2017 and led to an agreement around the five key themes for a 2018-2023 Manchester BID:

  1. Public Events
  2. Marketing and PR
  3. Operational Services
  4. Lobbying
  5. Internal Communication

A draft Business Plan will be circulated in July, before a final Business Plan is produced in time for a December ballot.
