In December 2017 we will be asking city centre retailers and businesses to re-endorse our plan for a prosperous, safe and hugely successful heart of Manchester.
Following the end of the current Manchester BID five year term, businesses will vote again to decide future priorities for a new 2018-2023 BID.
We have been engaging with members on their needs and interests and have identified four themes that will form the pillars of any new business plan. These are:
- Increasing footfall in ‘dip’ periods through a programme of public events in the heart of Manchester
- Increasing standards through operational and security support to assist businesses and enhance the city centre trading environment
- Increasing the profile of the city through promotional partnerships, marketing campaigns and ongoing positive PR
- Increasing lobbying and internal communications between the retail community, and acting as lobbying voice for retail with city authorities and stakeholders (including the council, policing and transport organisations)
