Manchester BID has commissioned Biffa to deliver additional street cleansing across the Business Improvement District in the lead-up to Christmas.

Extra cleaning of pavements, tree-pits, doorways, fire-exits, commercial waste collection points, benches, bins and bollards is underway.

The service includes a dedicated BID street cleaner, early morning jet washing, roving street sweeper and graffiti removal.

BID businesses should see the results already on St Ann’s Square, King Street, New Cathedral Street and Market Street.

The additional service will rotate around the shopping district each week, with cleansing activities taking place Monday to Friday and jet washing on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, as we approach the festive season.
