Ahead of this year’s festival please find below travel advice from Parklife.

Travel Pass

Offering great flexibility and the quickest route to the festival, the Parklife Travel Pass allows you to travel on either the direct Parklife Shuttle bus or Metrolink services from Manchester city centre. The Parklife Shuttle bus drops off right inside the festival site.

Public Transport

Heaton Park is very well served by existing public transport.

Heaton Park is served by these existing bus routes from around Greater Manchester 135, 59, 64, 484, 495, 164, 165. More information on buses can be found www.tfgm.com/buses

Metrolink

To get to Heaton Park from the city centre using the Metrolink, you will need to board the tram to Bury and get off at the Heaton Park stop. Metrolink operate a regular service throughout the day with each stop having an LED departure board with up to date times.

If you wish to use the Metrolink to get back to the City Centre after 6pm then you will need to go to the Bowker Vale stop. Directions to the stop will be signposted by all the customer exits. Heaton Park Metrolink station will close at 6pm on both event days.

Please Note: Parklife Travel Pass tickets must be exchanged for a wristband prior to boarding the Parklife Shuttle Bus or Metrolink; e-tickets are not valid for travel.

Car Parking

Official Parklife car parking at Heaton Park is available by advance purchase at £7.50 per day. Car parking at Heaton Park has limited availability so please purchase your parking tickets in advance from Ticket Arena.

There is absolutely no on street parking around the event site and there will be a number of roads closed in place around Heaton Park. Traffic wardens wil be patrolling the area around Heaton Park and your car will be towed and impounded by the wardens. If you are driving to Parklife, please use the official event car park.

By Bicycle

Parklige encourages use of bicycles, there will be a bike rack in the car park so be green and ride to Parklife.

By Foot

There is a clear walking route along Bury Old Road which will be sign posted to and from the city centre of Manchester to Parklife which will take you directly to a new entry and exit gate into Parklife. If you wish to walk please follow and stick to the route.

By Taxi

Taxis are also a very popular way of leaving the park; There will be a Manchester Hackney Carriage Taxi Rank in Blackley New Road and a Bury Hackney Carriage Taxi Rank outside the Woodthorpe pub on Bury Old Road as well as an official private hire pick up point near the car park on Sheepfoot Lane.

Customers booking their own private hire vehicles need to to direct them to the pick up point at Heaton Park Sainsbury’s.

Private Cars

In order to facilitate this year’s Parklife event there are a number of roads closed at the end of the event and roads with traffic orders in place around Heaton Park.

If you are being picked up or are picking up a relative or friend, there is a nominated pick up point at Sainsburys Superstore car park off Middleton Road. This will be open from 2200hrs and you can wait here safely to be collected or to collect people.
