CityCo and Manchester BID HQ has moved to a new location on the corner of Albert Square.

Our new address is 3rd Floor, Lloyds House, 22 Lloyd Street, M2 5WA.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to our fresh office space and to showcase our new event and meeting spaces that we’re excited to be offering soon.

Stay tuned for an invite to the launch of our new rooms-for-hire, overlooking Manchester’s beautiful Town Hall. It will be a stunning spot for board meetings, away days, conferences, workshops, training, talks, special events and parties.

History of Lloyds House

Lloyd’s House sits in the northwest corner of Albert Square where Southmill Street meets Lloyd Street. It extends along Lloyd Street and Jacksons Row.

It was designed by the architectural practice of Speakman & Charlesworth in 1867, originally for the ‘Manchester Shipping Office and Packing Company Ltd’ and was the city’s first purpose-built packing warehouse.

When the Manchester cotton trade was enjoying its last boom, the firm built some of the largest and most ambitious warehouses in Manchester. It owned and administered merchants warerooms and office space – and supplied labour, machinery and space for loading, unloading, storing and packing within the same building.
