CityCo’s Business Crime Team continue to offer invaluable support “I first heard about the BCRP nine years ago whilst an operational officer based at Piccadilly Station and realised the team had a wealth of knowledge and extensive contacts across the city. In my current role in in Intelligence Command at British Transport Police it’s been great to renew our working relationship and I know that when I make contact, I always receive a prompt, positive result.” Lorraine Johnstone, Intelligence Command, British Transport Police
Business Crime Reduction Partnership
CityCo manages Manchester’s Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP), helping to create a safe and secure city for customers, staff and visitors by reporting and tackling business-related crime.
We support the work of Greater Manchester Police, Manchester and Salford Council Licensing Units and Anti-Social Behaviour teams to run a city centre Civil Exclusion Scheme. Thousands of crime incidents are recorded, persons identified and exclusion notices issued.
The team also delivers venue security training on topics including Crime Prevention and Conflict Avoidance, Fraud Prevention, Counterfeit Currency, Making Statements and Reporting.
CityCo’s Business Crime team has achieved annual ‘Accreditation with Distinction’ by the National Association of Business Crime Partnerships and received a Divisional Commanders Award from Greater Manchester Police to recognise the outstanding partnership work.
