Dig the City Dig the City was the BID's first major festival and ran for three consecutive summers from 2013-2015. It was hosted for shoppers, workers, families and day-trippers at the start of the summer holidays and saw the streets transformed with floral Show Gardens.
We work with Visit Manchester, Manchester City Council, Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM), cultural venues, attractions, bars and restaurants to create public events, multi-media campaigns and targeted PR to showcase Manchester as a place where great things happen. Our events include Dig the City, Chinese New Year, MCR Student Night Out, The King Street Festival, One Big Summer Weekend and Halloween in the City.
Through the Business Improvement District (BID) we support Visit Manchester’s marketing campaigns at spring, summer and Christmas and initiatives targeted at Manchester’s growing number of international shoppers, students and visitors.
