To celebrate St George’s Day on Monday 22 April, there will be a parade departing from Miles Platting travelling though Manchester City Centre before returning to its starting point. There will also be local events taking place across the Greater Manchester region.
There will be a bus replacement service running along the Metrolink Bury line on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The Manchester parade will begin at 12pm and will last two hours.
Affected roads in the City Centre are expected to be closed between 11:30am and 2.30pm.
The parade will begin at Varley Street before turning left onto Oldham Road. From there it will proceed south, turning right onto Oldham Street and then to Piccadilly Gardens.
The return journey will travel up Newton Street from Piccadilly Gardens, turning left onto Hilton Street and then right onto Lever Street. It will then meet Great Ancoats Street, leading onto Oldham Road before turning right onto Butler Street and then to Ridgeway Street, concluding at Varley Street.
