Got Vacancies?
Need New Employees Fast?
Help is at hand
The Job Centre Plus Sector Based Work Academy Programme (SWAP) can help prepare people receiving unemployment benefits to apply for jobs in different areas of work.
Placements are designed to help meet immediate and future recruitment needs, as well as to recruit a workforce with the right skills.
The programme is administered by JCP and and there are several hospitality-focused projects currently running in Manchester.
Consider using the system to help fill current vacancies with trained, work-ready applicants. Placements have 3 main components:
- Pre-Employment Training
- Work Experience Placements
- Guaranteed Job Interviews
Placements are flexible to business needs and are particularly useful for young people, but are open to all job seekers 18+.
Participants remain on benefits while on a placement and government will pay any travel and childcare costs whilst employees are on the scheme.
There is no direct cost to an employer.
