Water Safety Awareness Training
This session is available to all Manchester city centre businesses.
The Water Safety session gives staff the opportunity to learn more about the city’s waterways and how to help keep customers, colleagues and the public safe around canals and rivers.
Partnership
The training is delivered in collaboration with the Manchester Water Safety Partnership, which brings together:
CityCo, Canal & River Trust, Manchester City Council, Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service, Greater Manchester Police, Royal National Lifeboat Institution and Royal Life Saving Society UK.
Training Content
- 30-minute presentation by Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service and Royal Life Saving Society UK
- 30-minute practical session covering how to use life-saving equipment, including throw lines, safety rings and buoys, reach poles.
