ACT Awareness Training
Manchester city centre businesses are invited to attend Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) Awareness Training.
ACT Awareness is part of the city’s ongoing commitment to public safety following the 2017 Manchester Arena attack.
The training is administrated by CityCo in partnership with Manchester City Council, Greater Manchester Police and North West Counter Terrorism Unit.
It is delivered by trained advisors from Protect UK and the National Protective Security Authority, and supported by Figen Murray OBE as part of her campaigning work on Martyn’s Law.
Training content is designed to raise vigilance around the current terrorist threat in the UK and provide practical protective advice and guidance.
Who Should Attend?
- Management Teams
- Front of House and Security Teams
- FM Teams
- Any venue with a Publicly Accessible Location (PAL) who is preparing for Martyn’s Law
- Anyone who believes their venue may fall under Martyn’s Law requirements.
