Action Counters Terrorism: ACT Awareness Training
ACT Awareness Training is encouraged for all businesses operating a licensed premises in Manchester city centre.
ACT is part of the city’s commitment public safety, following the 2017 Arena attack.
The training is facilitated by CityCo in partnership with Greater Manchester Police, North West Counter Terrorism Unit and Manchester City Council.
The session is delivered by NaCTSO/Protect UK and National Protective Security Authority trained advisors. The content is designed to raise vigilance of the current terrorist threat to the UK and provide businesses with protective advice and guidance.

- Current Threat in the UK
- Identifying and Responding to Suspicious Behaviour
- Identifying and Dealing with Suspicious Items
- Responding to a Firearms or Weapons Attack
Registration
The training is for Venue Managers, Assistant GMs, Operations Managers, Bar Managers, Front of House.
