Remembrance Sunday: Road Closures

The annual service of remembrance will take place at the Cenotaph on St Peter’s Square. Prior to this servicemen and women, service and ex-service organisations, and uniformed organisations will take part in Manchester’s Remembrance Day procession, which will set off from John Dalton Street with civic dignitaries and faith leaders following this with a procession from Peter Street.

Road closures

To enable security checks and safeguards, a series of road closures will be implemented.

Closed 7am–1pm

  • John Dalton Street (Deansgate to Cross Street)
  • Princess Street (Cross Street to Portland Street)
  • Cross Street (Princess Street to King Street)
  • Peter Street (Deansgate to Oxford Street)
  • Mount Street (Windmill Street to Peter Street)
  • Museum Street (Windmill Street to Peter Street)
  • Bootle Street (Southmill Street to Mount Street)
  • Lloyd Street (Deansgate to Southmill Street)
  • Cooper Street (Kennedy Street to Princess Street)
  • Watson Street one-way reversed
  • Parking suspensions will be in operation from 6am.
