The Manchester Flower Festival: A Blooming Success
It’s been a few weeks now since the May Bank Holiday, and summer has started. With the sun shining let’s recap and share the success of The Manchester Flower Festival.
Manchester Business Improvement District’s annual floral takeover transformed the streets with flower displays, green takeovers, alfresco food and drink, talks, workshops and live music. And we were delighted to see places and spaces taking part including First Street and NOMA.
The event attracted 100,000 additional visitors to the city centre compared to the 2022 festival. Footfall was up +44% compared to same weekend last year, and the Sunday saw footfall double versus 2022.
We secured a whole host of positive press coverage. £502,000 AVE across 121 titles including BBC North West Tonight, Yorkshire Evening Post, BBC Radio Manchester, Manchester Evening News, Manchester’s Finest, The Manc and Cheshire Life.
The success of the event was ‘Thing of the Week’ on Place North West, and the great figures were reported by Business Desk.
