Manchester Christmas Parade

The Manchester Christmas Parade was created as a partnership between City Centre BID and Manchester City Council (Manchester Markets).

Now delivered by the Council, it has become a much-loved fixture in the city’s festive calendar, attracting families on the first Sunday of December each year.

The parade is a sparkling spectacle featuring colourful characters, magical performers and musicians, taking a circular route through the retail district.

It is promoted by Manchester City Council as part of the city’s annual Christmas Markets campaign.

City Centre BID supports the event with our team of ‘hype elves’, who spread festive cheer along the route. Each year, we’re there ahead of the parade to hand-out festive flags and goodies to spectators.
