Water Safety Training for Businesses
Manchester city centre businesses are invited to attend water safety training. This is an opportunity for staff to learn more about the city’s waterways and how to keep customers and workers safe around our canals and rivers.
The training is in collaboration with the Manchester Water Safety Partnership (CityCo, Canal & River Trust, Manchester City Council, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue, Greater Manchester Police, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, Royal Life Saving Society UK).
Training Content
The session will include a 30-minute presentation by Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service and Royal Life Saving Society.
This is followed by 30-minutes of practical training on how to use life-saving equipment including throw lines, rings, safety bouys, and reach poles.

The training is open to staff at all levels. Numbers are limited.
