Manchester Half Marathon

On Sunday 12th October the Manchester Half Marathon will return. The event is a 13.1-mile closed road running event which will involve some road closures in the city centre.
Last October, 21,000 people took part in the Manchester Half Marathon, which raised over £1.1 million for local & national charities. The event also saw a £7 million boost to the local economy.
Main Road Closures affecting the city centre are as follows:
A56 Southbound
- Deansgate Interchange to Edge Lane 03:00 to 15:00hrs
- Deansgate Interchange to Deansgate 07:30 to 12:30hrs
- Barton Road to Ashfield Road 07:30 to 15:30hrs
- Edge Lane to Barton Road 07:30 to 16:00hrs
A56 Northbound
- Edge Lane to White City Circle 03:00 to 15:00hrs
- Barton Road to Edge Lane 03:00 to 16:00hrs
- Deansgate Interchange to Whitworth Street West 07:30 to 12:30
- White City Circle to Deansgate Interchange 03:00 to 15:00
- Marsland Road to Barton Road 07:30 to 15:30hrs
