Armed Forces Day: The Big Thank You

This flagship civic event is Manchester’s opportunity to publicly thank our armed forces personnel and veterans for their service, dedication, and sacrifice in protecting our country and communities.
It will be a vibrant, high-profile day of celebration, remembrance, and civic pride.
The event will feature live music and performances, military vehicle displays, family-friendly activities, and opportunities to meet and speak with veterans and service personnel. I
t’s a day designed to honour the past, celebrate the present, and inspire future generations.
Manchester City Council are inviting Manchester businesses to get involved:
Host a Themed Stall in St. Peter’s Square
An opportunity to engage with the public, demonstrate your business’s civic values, and align with a meaningful national cause:
- Showcasing support for veterans or reservists in your workforce
- Offering military discounts or themed promotions
- Providing interactive or educational activities related to the armed forces
- Collaborating with military charities or community groups
Sponsorship Packages
- Branding on event signage and materials
- Recognition in press and social media
- Priority stall placement and promotional opportunities
Participation
If your business employs veterans, reservists, or cadets, the Council warmly invites them to take part in the parade. Parade participants should arrive by 10:30 am for a briefing at 11:00 am.
Show Your Support
Display Armed Forces Day materials in your premises, promote the event through your channels, and join the Council on the day to show Manchester’s united appreciation.
