Road Map to Recovery

A 4-step plan to ease lockdown in England has been announced (22 February). 

From 8 March

Pupils return to face-to-face education in school and further education in England. Pupils in Wales and Scotland returned on 22 February. Wraparound childcare, such as after-school clubs, can reopen to enable parents to work, attend education, access medical care or attend a support group.

Outdoor recreation, such as a picnic, is allowed. This can be on your own, with one other person, or with your household or support bubble.

Indoor visits to care homes start again for a single named visitor.

Easing of restrictions from then on:

29 March

Two Households Outdoors, Organised Outdoor Sport

No earlier than 12 April

Rule of 6, Retail, Gyms, Outdoor Hospitality, Domestic Household Travel

No earlier than 17 May

Indoor Hospitality, Entertainment, Attractions, Outdoor Events

No earlier than 21 June

Remaining businesses inc. nightclubs, Larger Events

Financial Support Grants

There are a number of support grants available to support businesses that are being administered by Manchester City Council.
