Today, the Northern Quarter BID (Business Improvement District) went through with a resounding Win.

The final result was:

182 FOR
16 AGAINST
= 91% in Favour
= 92% of the Rateable Value (RV) vote

The Northern Quarter Business Improvement District will now begin on 1st January 2027.

From September we will be underway with setting up the Board and BID Council. We will be asking for volunteers to join the Board so we can represent all sectors and geographical areas.

From October we will be seconding staff to work in some detail on planning, and helping to tackle some of the issues currently afflicting the area.

But for today, we’ll be having a little celebration.
