Manchester City Centre BID and Manchester Accommodation BID are co-founding sponsors of Beyond the Music. The inaugural event took place in Manchester in October 2023, and will return this year. It is a new change-making music conference and festival for the city, supporting next generation talent.
2023 Headlines
- Hotel lobby gigs: free music sets at a series of morning performances in hotel lobbies across the city centre. Titled ‘Dawn Chorus’, a series of intimate classical performances took place in the foyers of six Manchester hotels. Hotel visitors waking up at the Hyatt Regency, The Midland, Moxy, Yotel, Leonardo Hotel Manchester Central and Kimpton Clocktower were treated to very special shows performed by students from the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM)
- Live stage: people enjoyed live music in Exchange Square featuring performances curated by The Untold Orchestra which aims to redefine orchestral music through memorable performances and refreshing collaborations
